The problem is the constant dishing out of money in (EA PGA Tour 2023), (2K23 PGA Tour) and (World Golf Tour 2008 to 2023). PLUS, an annual fee to play these games from $5.00 a month to $100.00 a year.
I tried all three over the past few months and found them to be more like virtual casinos - that's bad news for anyone with any type of addiction. I quit WGT fast when I saw those small purchases were adding up.
The real turn-off for me is the lack of a typical or close to typical (mouse swing 3-click meter).
Perfect Golf, Tiger Woods 2008 and Links 2003 can all be played on Windows 10 or 11. The classics do not cost anything more after you pay the purchase price other than a couple dozen courses with Links 2003 with M$ copyrights.
Some players have spent $2,000.00 to $8,000.00+ playing WGT in a year buying special balls, clothing, clubs - not to mention the tokens/credits being used that require (real money) to replenish.
I believe Perfect Golf is the best golf game to ever appear on the market. Keeping my fingers crossed that Steam and PGLS keep it alive for as long as possible.
