Re: silly settings
I'll throw in my 2 cents here. I consider myself a below average to average player. I don't recall what event it was but there was a long par 3 hole that didn't look too tough. Of course I missed my snap, and the green. Had to flop back up onto the green. Problem was, there is a huge hill where the pin is. Well, after 7 strokes and still not being in the hole I said fu*k it and quit the game. Thanks for that setup.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

Re: silly settings
if this weeks pga18 is meant to mirror the open then its failed the condition are nothing like the open.if its very tough it does deter the average player andy. lots quit after a few holes. most people just want to have fun and having big scores on holes isnt fun. most players dont care what the top 4 or 5 are scoring just want to hit some birdies and feel good. pg has just become another individual pc game and with pg messing things up the fun is trickling out of it.

Re: silly settings
Terry, this week's PGA 18 can't mirror the Open at Portrush as there isn't a course available and Wells Hollows was chosen instead.

Re: silly settings
I don't even look at the regular scoreboard anymore as I just look at how I compare to the other ten players who don't play 3C. The truth is this really a clickers tour and the guys who don't click really don't have a chance but we do have close scores between the few of us. I will start playing this weeks event shortly and played the event at Royal Portrush at TGC2019 already and have to wonder why the course was not designed for JNPG. My advise to all is just play and don't worry about the leaderboard as it's just a a game anyway.
