PGLS Tours |

Welcome to the PGLS TOURS where you play on either the American Tour or the Continental Tour, both of which cover a year long season and are effectively a simulation of the real PGA Tour and European Tour. So this can also be considered as a CAREER option.
Each season consists of various Majors, WGC events and normal events. Every event is made up of four rounds of 18 holes and there is no 'cut'. Each tour has a 'money list' which is also used in the selection process for Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup teams.
All tourneys are played from Thursday 00:00:00 to Tuesday 23:59:59 GMT/BST every week. If you wish to take part please click here and then select Yes against PGLS Tours. If you wish to remove yourself please click here and then select No against PGLS Tours. However doing so will remove any 'Stats' and 'Career Earnings' you currently have accumulated and you will not be able to re-join until the current Leg of the season is played out so please bear all this in mind if you do decide to remove yourself. Tour Cards BEFORE the beginning of each season every player is allocated to a tour on which to play. This will be based on a player's known geographical location. If their location is not known, Admin will allocate that player to a tour of Admin's choice. PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE TOURS MID-SEASON. Choice of Events To give players a degree of freedom, everyone can choose to play up to 3 events per Leg on the tour to which they are not allocated. Each season consists of 3 legs and you will be unable to change your selection once that Leg starts. This does not include Major and WGC events as everyone will be playing these tourneys anyway. NOBODY can play both events in the same week. Also, BEFORE a season commences EVERY PLAYER will have to specify which events, IF ANY, they wish to play ON THE TOUR TO WHICH THEY ARE NOT ATTACHED, up to and including a maximum of 3 per Leg giving you a maximum of 9 per season. This is done via the 'MY TOUR' page ... tourney_tours_mytour.php Each Leg is scored as a mini-season. Winners, 2nd, and 3rd places for points scored in that Leg are recognized in the Honors Board with a banner. The ultimate season winner, 2nd, and 3rd places based on points from all Legs are recognized in the Honors Board with a final banner. This means that nobody will know who will be playing where until the actual event commences. The last week of the season is a 2 person Team stroke event. You play 4 rounds of 18 holes each. Rounds 1 & 3 are Scramble, and rounds 2 & 4 are Alternate shot. Points scored for this event are the same as shown in the Microsoft Excel sheet shown below. You must create a team to be able to take part. Name your team as you wish, but please use a bit of common sense when doing so. Select your team player from the list and finally click Create Team. Please note the list only contains players that are not already in a team. Players must confirm their "Guest Tour" selections for all 3 legs whether or not they have chosen any at all, otherwise you will not see the PGLS Tours in-game or see your scores recorded. Points PGLS Tours employs a 3-tier points system. A Microsoft Excel sheet showing these can be downloaded via the following link ... tours_earnings_system.xlsx Major tourneys pay most points, WGC events pay second highest points, while all other events pay out a normal points amount. The bigger the tournament, the bigger the prize money - as in real life. ALSO, the higher the playing level, the more you can expect to earn. For example, a Tour Pro will earn more than a Pro when finishing an event in the same position, and a Pro will earn more than an Amateur when finishing in the same position. Playing Levels Players will use their existing PGLS Level. This may change during the PGLS Tours is running and will be updated on a Wednesday if it changes, the day the PGLS Tours are closed. Each tour has its own 'money-list', but there is also a 'Joint money-list' showing a player's total earnings from BOTH tours. Tournaments The same course and conditions are to be played by all players, regardless of playing level. When setting round conditions, Admin will endeavour to set different pins for each round - and different wind directions. Rounds can be played solo or with others up to a maximum of 8. Players are able to play along with others in any round they have already completed. However their scores will not be counted. Each round can be played in any order. This should help get matches played to fit in with other players who are available to play at the same time as you. Please note that a player will only be able to see other players scores on the leaderboards at PGLS and in-game on the rounds that player has already completed. |
