How are courses chosen?
Just wondering what the criteria is for choosing a course for newly posted tournaments. Are they just newly released courses, randomly selected, highly rated? The reason why I ask is because I am a little late in participating in tournaments and I am sure that I have missed out on playing some wonderfully created courses released a while ago. Not saying to cater to my personal needs, but do you ever go back to courses that were created say, like a year or beyond? Thanks!

Re: How are courses chosen?
Yes, older courses are used. Newer courses once tested are obviously included sooner rather than later but with 5/6 events per week, older courses are always needed.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.
Play well and enjoy your game everyone!
btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Re: How are courses chosen?
Hi Holy Goat
At this present time I choose courses for tours (except Tough stuff that is done by Bilbad and Skills is done by Duncanmathieson).
No beta courses are used until course is released.
We have a list of all courses used in each tour for the last twelve months to stop courses being used too often
PGA 18 we base on the US PGA tour if the appropiate tour for the weeks tour is not available in PG a suitable course in the State in which the tour is played will be used where possible.
PGA 9 is based on The European Tour. This proves more difficult due to less European courses available in Europe.
For other course we choose a mixture of courses new and old making sure that they havent been used on that tour over the last year
Hope that has been helpfull
