unlike real golf
in real golf a pro will hit the centre of the sweet spot of a club about 10% of the time. when he just misses the centre he will go slightly off line. in pp golf if you miss the ding ie centre of sweet short. by the smallest possible margin you go stupidly off line this is not right and taking the fun out of what after all is a game.

This is a tournament and match play site, not at all affiliated with the designers of Perfect Golf. Might I suggest that you join their forum at http://www.perfectparallel.com and voice your concerns to the designers in their forum. They have a category for Game Feature requests and another for Bug reporting.

i was commenting on the game. i know what this site is i was one of the first members. but thanks. i dont want the game to be easy just realistic and fair. it would be a little fairer for amateurs if the winds were just pulled back a bit. just my opinion but many many people have looked at playing pp and have been put off. we dont want it to be just a game for people with high end computers and who play it no stop do we? ive played this game on and off since day one and enjoying it less which is a shame.

Re: unlike real golf
I'm not sure if you're confusing the difficulty levels in the game with the real-life abilities of the same type of golfer or not. The difficulty levels in the game refer to how adept you are at making the swings in the game, not at how well the player will play. In other words, the difficulty level relates to your personal skill at the swing input method of your choice. Think of Beginner as difficulty level 1, Hacker as difficulty level 2, Amateur as difficulty level 3, Pro as difficulty level 4, and Tour Pro as difficulty level 5. If you are playing on Tour Pro, your play is not improved because of that choice (you don't hit it any farther as a Beginner either). The "Tour Pro" setting can be very unforgiving, as you may have noticed. Pro settings can also be challenging, even for 'veteran' PC golfers.
I'd suggest if the frustration level of your currently selected difficulty is causing you to dislike the game, then it would be appropriate to drop down a difficulty level so that your gaming experience is more in line with your expectations and your level of enjoyment increases. There is no shame in playing Amateur or Hacker (or even Beginner); this game is much more difficult than any other PC golf game.
