Penaly stroke

Just a question after I explain what happened. On #11 playing MS I draw back my mouse and when I go to bring it up the game freezes and just sits there for about 30 seconds then kicks out completely and goes to my Windows screen and updates Steam. When I went back in to the game I hit resume and am back at my 2nd shot like before and played from there and of course I know there will be a penalty stroke awaiting me at the end. Now that's ok I understand the rule and its just a game but my question is that I have been away for over two months and the game seems to be a little more buggy than when I left especially with these freezes and the meter for MS a little laggy sometimes also. Am I seeing something that's not there or have others seen it to. All and all its good to be back and enjoying playing again.

I also notice a lot more issues as this gets older, starting to make me wonder when it is just going to
die, and be gone.
