PGA Tournament - Tehama or Steam?

Post by charlie »

Played first round of PGA Tournament at Tehama. The course loaded slow and remained slow through the first 5 holes; then it started to stutter badly and freeze. The meter stuttered and jumped; shots started going astray. I finally had to exit out after 8 or 9 holes; came back expecting to have a penalty stroke for ending the round mid-game, but none appeared. Managed to finish the round. The course still played slow on the back 9; but not as bad as the front 9.

I don't know if this was a Steam problem or a Tehama problem. Maybe the second round will go better.

There was a Steam update last night for me anyway.

Obviously no idea if that's the cause but Steam seems to cause most issues with PG.

Managed to play and complete all 3 rounds today with only one hiccup - I hit my tee shot on #14 in R4 to the green, clicked Continue, and I was placed back on the tee.

However, not as lucky playing Heavy Duty Hitters. I played all of R2 in the Tournament and none of that round recorded at Steam or here. Everything seemed to work properly during the round on Steam, except the leaderboard went kind of wonky while I was playing, showing 63 for a lot of players instead of a plus-or-minus-to-par tally.

I must be cursed. I guess I have to replay R2 if I want to complete the tournament.

Steam did two updates yesterday so that can definitely screw things up.

Had the same problem in R2 of HDH. Put the ball in the water on hole 10 but then the game froze. So had to exit but when I went back in I was back on the first tee.

Didn't make any difference though because I played just as badly the 2nd time around LOL :hmmm:
