Can we at least have a chance to hit the ball to the hole?

Since NibNob complained last week, I guess its okay if I do this week. Somebody let me know if he is the only one allowed, and if so, just remove this.

I thought the object of Skilz was closest to the pin, not "see if you can hit the ball out of an impossible lie while at the same time being restricted on what club you can use". I played 8 holes and missed 4 greens completely. Three of the 4 were in pot bunkers that its impossible to get out of without hitting the lip. When the hole is 41 YARDS away, it doesn't help to go 21 feet to the top of the lip. The other hole I missed was a ball lying in the rough 44 feet away from the hole. On the first attempt, the only shot allowed was a SPLASH. Seriously, from the rough? The 2nd shot was normal, but just like the random power loss on shots from the rough (we really don't get two attempts when the lie is in the rough, because the power loss changes) there is no way to "learn" on the first shot. Two guesses instead of just the first one.

I have seen the participation in these tournaments decline continually. Maybe this is the reason.

if you had read skillz post about this weeks tour, it was mentioned that hole 6 was debateable but course was worth picking.
by the way there has been a few players who have managed to get on green on said hole, so obviously not impossible, even though I didnt manage myself lol

The course designer decides where the shot is taken. whether it be from the rough, sand or fairway. not all courses have challenge holes so setters are limited to what course they can use. If the setter chose the same hole for each round then folks would complain there is no variety. I played the course tonight and I can tell you that I missed more than four hole lol. CTP is what it is, if it is too difficult for you then the answer is to chose another tour. I enjoy it as a laugh playing along with friends, I know for a certainty that I wouldnt if on my own. Looking at the scores each week though clearly shows its not impossible.

I don't read the forums about every tournament. I just open the game and play. Never practice. Just go out and hitem. I guess I'm going to have to go get every freakin' wedge and toss out some critical clubs in order to play this tournament. I use the 60W for sand and short shots all the way up to 60 yards, rough and fairway. Don't have any other short clubs. That 60W in real golf should go over every one of those lips, but of course not in this game, because you can't change your stance.

There were a couple holes that were ALMOST impossible to even get the ball out of. One was a bunker that was so deep all you could see was dirt. I plugged the ball into the side of it and I used a full shot 60 degree wedge full loft.

I can give you a hint about that 6th hole. Of course I didn't figure it out until the 3rd round. If you notice in your shots that the first and second aren't the same. Your only option could be a splash shot on your first and the second shot you might have a splash, full, pitch, chip. I don't know why that happens, but I think its stupid. OK, on that 6th hole you need to hit a flop shot, with a 60 degree wedge, full loft. It may give that option to you on either shot, first or second. If its the first, don't miss because the second shot you wont have it.

One other thing I don't care for is sometimes you might be in the rough and have a 9% power loss and on your second shot it could be 17%. Why? Make them both the same so you can learn from the first shot.

What causes a sand shot to be plugged on the second try? 40 yards out of the sand, plugged, is impossible.

plugged in sand on second shot is a regular occurrence in skillz, due to a glitch in PG that unfortunately will never be fixed im afraid.
we just have to put up with this games problems or try playing THE other golf game lol.
This game could have been SO GOOD if glitches had been ironed out during development.
But it is what it is guys (pity)
