Gimmies (Poll)

Post by LinksPro »

Do we really need to make putts under one foot? I don't know anyone that has missed a putt that short and when playing with 4 or more people, its a waste of time when every hole 3 or more people have to make that putt. This isn't real golf, its a game. Lets take a poll and see where we stand on the subject. Bring back one foot gimmies? Thanks.

:joy:
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

nope seen too many short putts missed, give em 1 foot then how long will it be till
people are asking for 2. been like this for years I don't see any reason to change it now.
in the RL tourneys, they don't have em why have em here. I always thought we were all looking for realism.

Short putts? Under 1 foot? These aren't real life tourneys. Fantasy courses aren't real life either. That will be the next poll.

theres a bug with gimmies if you chick the button very near where your timer runners out it costs you a stroke and you have to still putt.....

it doesnt really affect me now as i have post screen set to off.....so i have to putt everything anyway....

so if yous want to run that risk...go for it........but be warned youll get stealth strokes added....hard to spot

This was previously discussed just under a year ago which prompted us to turn them off ...

Anyone with the Post Shot screen turned off of course it won't affect them.

oh so the next thing you want to do away with are the fantasy courses, both of these ideas are silly
don't be in such a hurry and putt out, so what if it takes a few more seconds, I am sorry I am not as good as you but every now and again I can miss a short putt. as for the fantasy courses I can give or take it there are some that are built for nothing but to defeat the player I agree they should not be used, then there are others that are built to play enjoyable golf on but who sets the standards to say which are which. we have been playing without the gimmies for a bit now I still say leave the things off and some of you get out of the big hurry you are in and enjoy the tourneys as they are. I myself do not even like to sign into a game in the lobby with them on, however, we do use 2 footers in the games I play in where we are just shooting fun rounds with the people I play with daily out of the voice chat room we use, those are fun rounds I take the tourneys more seriously
