Amongst all the doom and gloom and rumblings about conditions etc...the end is nigh if you believe what is written.
Interestingly, The levels of participation in the oldest events (PGA9, PGA18 and Stableford) shows, shock horror that maybe PGLS and Perfect Golf isn't about to disappear into the abyss, the odd few testing conditions aren't pushing the masses away:
Stableford - Levels of participation are only down on average by 1 player over the last 8 weeks and in fact are at the same level as a year ago!
PGA9 - This event is showing an INCREASE in participation compared to half a year ago, up 10% in fact!!
PGA18 - This event is showing the same level of participation as 4 months ago and has been consistent over the last 4 months.
The Open this month has the most competed rounds for the last 4 months with 3 days to go and the 2nd most since October 2020
The Divisions is still appearing popular too, April averaged 1 more round per period than March did.
So, perhaps it's time to forget the negativity (there's enough of that around in the real world) and just play some golf. The wide range of setups we are seeing keeps in fresh, so what if the odd one or two are a little more testing.
Enjoy the game folks, seems the numbers suggest PGLS will be around for a while longer.
Have a great Sunday.

The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.
Play well and enjoy your game everyone!
btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Re: Positivity
That one player reduction on stableford might be me and that has nothing to do with conditions of play. I have not played the open in awhile either (or PGA 18), but I still play this game regularly.
Good news for PG!

Great work by all those organising these tournaments for us and designing these courses.
Let's show our appreciation and get back out on the course.

Re: Positivity
Love this game....Love the companionship of the community who play it. After Isolating for over a year now its kept me sain and long may it continue. Playing golf in real life was a joy being out in the fresh air, hearing the birds sing, this game reminds me of all that especially now my mobility is not as good as it was. Thanks Mark for all you have done in the building of PGLS and to the team of setters for there hard work.
