I am going to assume you are going to mention the conditions for this tournament, the American side. See you shot an 80 round 3. This is a very tough course, and the weather was dry and, in the 80's. If you look at the PGA results the winner shot a -4. I can't remember the last time a winning tournament was that close to par. This tour is supposed to follow the actual PGA schedule where PGLS has the course. I don't always follow that where wind is concerned. Good example is the next tournament at Florida Glades. Weather shows a lot of wind and even one round where gusty could be used but I won't use it. I always try to be fair, and I felt, all considered, the conditions were fair. You just can't please everyone, every time.

You know what they say when you assume.

I shot an 80 because:

1. It was my first game in over a day and I had no snap.
2. I had some unlucky breaks. On one hole I hit a perfect snap on an approach shot, the ball hit the flag stick and caromed in to a hazard, next to the green, and my drop was 160 yards away, in the rough, 24% power loss on a 7 iron.Triple penalty. Double bogey.
3. I left 8 birdie putts less than 5 inches. (conincidentally, there are NO stats kept for this game regarding putting skills. Average distance to the pin when hitting the green, regardless if its regulation or not. Average distance of putts made each round. Longest putt made for the round, etc.)

The round before the 80, I shot 65, so there's that. I know how to play, just not consistent, and lots of unlucky landings and bad breaks all the time, regardless of conditions. How many others hit a tee shot in to a fairway bunker that plugs, 160+ yards out, and then the next shot also plugs in a bunker, 100 yards out? Its happened to me several times. Luckily, only in tournaments. Hahahaha. The perfect players at the top of your leader boards never miss a fairway, a decided advantage. Not only that, they rarely miss a snap, whereas a shot for 170 yards with a teeny teeny snap miss will be offline between 30 and 40 FEET, and forget it if the snap miss and a side wind are the same direction, now you're talking 50+ FEET offline. You can take it to the bank. So, there's the long putts to deal with constantly.

@MWH, thanks for answering my question, but I'm not going to answer yours, It doesn't matter.

If you think the best players always hit the FW check, there stats. Rarely do I see 100%. What makes the difference is sand shots and scrambling saves. Hitting the snap is important but knowing how far to go on the meter, let's say 184yds no wind, soft greens with a 6 iron is always a crap shot. As far as your unfair shots, we all have them from time to time. I always feel better yelling out f**king game and go back to doing the best I can. Not sure I asked a question but appreciate you taking the time to explain your frustration.

I suck at scrambling that's why I'm a journeyman and not a star, lol

Its even worse when you are playing SKILZ, and your first shot plugs in the sand. You don't a second shot from the same lie. Its also plugged, even in the rough or fairway.

Yep that Skillz bug is a pain. Even without that happening you'll also notice your first shot sits on a tee when it blatantly shouldn't be.

Sucks to love an incomplete and unsupported game sometimes. I've lost tournies due to bugs. It's super-duper frustrating.
