Post here anything to do with technical issues with computers in general. Don't expect a response but I'm sure people would be happy to try.

graphics stuttering badley with new laptop gpu 5070

Post by bkienlen »

I just got a high end new laptop with a nvidia 5070 gpu. The game has begun stuttering so bad that its almost unplayable. I've tried changing the settings but nothing seems to help. I even tried running it in compatibility mode, which didn't help. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your VSync setting in PG, SETTINGS - GRAPHICS, under QUALITY.

I have mine on EVERY FRAME, but try the others.

I don't know what VSync does but when I put it on EVERY FRAME, my snap is atrocious. I would push the mouse button and the meter would continue part way past the snap line. I changed the setting to OFF and my mouse stops instantly when I push the button. Try different settings until you find one that works on your computer.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!
