POLL CLOSED: Pace of Play - Should PGLS allow a gimmie on tour rounds? CLOSED
Hi to all,
A suggestion has been made that one foot gimmies should be made active in Tour rounds at PGLS to help speed the pace of play.
Previously we have kept gimmies out of tour rounds because in real-life you must complete every hole and none are 'given'.
The counter-argument has been made that if you left a short one, you would simply walk up and tap it in, which is what a one foot gimmie would replicate.
We want to know your opinion ahead of any change we would make, so please feel free to respond and also register your vote, so we can make sure this is what the majority of respondents want.
You have three options, please choose one.... you may change your vote if your opinion changes.
I know some will ask for a shot clock as well. This is not possible as there is no control method within the Tournament API to turn it on.

Yes to gimmes and make them automatic as well.
Re: POLL: Pace of Play - Should PGLS allow a gimmie on tour rounds?
No, because the gimme bug still exists; pertaining to tee shots that finish inside gimme range. Although, I'm not sure if all game types are affected.
Perhaps some further tests could be run, prior to implementation. I know I'd hate to have a good round ruined, by an otherwise potentially avoidable bug, within a largely unrealistic feature.
After all, the only place gimmes exist in real golf, is when putts are conceded in match play. But, since - in this game - individual putts cannot be conceded without conceding an entire hole, it wouldn't be simulating tournament golf, to give putts of any length.

Auto Gimmies are off the table.
Still bug ridden.
