Sorry yes it's Comodo Internet Security that is causing the issue, not the Avast Antivirus.
For some reason it is blocking the file that the PGLS Course Checker utility needs to access hence the "Access Denied" issue you are getting, which can of course be excluded.
If you would like it working I can remotely access your PC to change Comodo. Let me know.
