Please see announcement in General Discussion.

Correct, it is over a Calendar month.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

The move to revert back to the old system scoring that decides who will be moved between the levels I believe will be a good thing in the long term. The System was updated earlier this year and since the change there as been very little movement between levels Amateur and Tor Pro. If you take a look at the leaderboards specifically at the amateur level you notice that the majority of players are grouped together with single figure + or Minus results but just a handful are showing much higher scores, often in the -20, 30 or even higher. The system should take this into account and move the players up to the higher level of play but since the change this has not been happening. the outcome of this is the same group of players take the medals each week and it becomes very frustrating for players who have not reached that level of skill. I appricaite that it does take considerable time to get used to a new level of skill to get used to, this is normal but with patience this can be overcome. I also wish to state that there is nothing personal in supporting this move, it had to happen sooner of later with new players coming along each week. I hope this moves allows more chances for all to benefit and creates a more competive competition.

I disagree, in my opinion a player should not be moved up until he can compete with the top Tour pros on the leaderboards, once he can do that he has peaked at his level be it pro ,ammy or hacker then he is ready and should be moved up, -20 or -30 etc in easy conditions means nothing, on that basis Paul you would be moved to pro on your -24 score last week in PGA18, which would be wrong. Moving people up to soon will take the enjoyment out the tours and see a fall in participation, this of course is my own humble opinion.

The overall average of all the tiers is falling as to be expected as people play the game longer. The system will only move people that are way outscoring the average person of the level. If the average of any level is 69 and you are averaging 64, and outscoring the average of the next Tier up as well, it is time to move up, no matter what level you currently are. Similarly if your average is higher than 74, maybe a time to move back down to improve and then step back up?

We can only try it to see what effect it has.
