In my opinion, this is a slap in the face to all the hard work Mike and now Affo has put into devising this system. It also sets a terrible precedent I do remember when Mark asked to be moved to pro for the exact same reason (the aiming thing), Mike laughed in his face and said no way. Might as well scrap the whole system.

yea that was my complaint also about Pro vs TP the overhead aiming
now that the change has been made, mind you before i was forced up to TP level i will deal with it.
but it is not right to let players who are scoring in the TP level to use it as a weak excuse to try and get a hand up.
the player is in control of their own scores, they can just sandbag themselves into staying in the PRO level some are doing that now
and all you have to do is follow the leaderboards on tourneys that count to see it.

Don't often post but I think we may as well scrap the whole level thing if you're just going to cave in and let someone go back to pro because he doesn't like the aiming in TP what a load of rubbish

Affo wrote: Thu Dec 06, 2018 1:30 pm As per the link below, the player movements for December 2018 will take place this evening ready for the new Season starting Fri 7th December.

Promoted from Pro to Tour Pro due to continued good scoring, congratulations:

Crusher
jspirate
Stozza
Tour Pro aiming (as it was meant to be used) takes the fun out of the game for me. I asked to remain as Pro and admin granted that to me.

See you online as a Pro player. :good:
The reason for Crusher remaining as Pro was not because he needs to use the aiming stick. It was actually done because I know his real average is not as low as the November scores indicate. I see the scores posted and if people then withdraw themselves from the competition, be it to protect a handicap or too many events on their public listing...who knows, only the final leaderboards go into the average figures. Crusher's actual average for scores posted in the competitions wouldn't have triggered a move, that is why he stayed at Pro, I was on auto pilot processing changes but when Crusher requested I thought on this occasion he could remain as Pro. He as you notice doesn't constantly win Pro level events, which also shows that his real average would have been much higher.

For the record, the next time Crusher hit's the promotion level, whether because he withdraws after playing events and the average is low or through good scoring, he has been told he will be put to Tour Pro, which he acknowledged.

I try to cater for most things and be fair where possible, shame someone has to post onto the forums and whip up a storm in a tea cup. These things are done to try and protect integrity on the leaderboards, if you don't want to get involved with the more competitive side, don't play them, or we just won't bother and there will be leaderboard carnage as we pander to all level change requests.

Time could be spent doing other things, just let me know.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Been out for a run, had a think and I need to apologise to the majority here.

Rules are rules and we shouldn't bend them to suit any player. I will restore the promotion as per the month end numbers which will kick in from Friday next week.

If a player continues to remove his scores before the final leaderboard is set, that's tough on their part as if all the scores were used, said player would probably not have triggered the promotion.

My final post on this matter.

This was not Affo's problem, He's done the right thing putting you back to TP which you scored low enough in November to be put up to so stop moaning and get on with it, You'll most likely make sure you're back at pro next month anyway

Protecting a suspected exploit user doesn't impress me.
Again send me concrete evidence of any wrong doing and I will deal with it.
