Speaking of coding skills ... I saw a thread at PG forum this morning about career mode. It seems that enough data gets collected here to possibly automate some sort of career action. I see the PGLS tours have taken a step in that direction. Mark looking for a new project? (ducks behind the golf cart) :)

Well, it is called "Whatever Happened to career mode" and frankly it went off the rails. But it got me thinking about all the data PGLS gets and all the stats ...

Yes I found it, eventually, with the help of Andy in the "Perfect Golf Feature Requests" forum.

I think the phrase "better wait and see where PG 1 goes from here" is relevant.

The only way you could sort of get some sort of career mode is to split the main Tours into Divisions:

PGA Tour
Web Tour
Challenger Tour

Have an Order of Merit covering PGA9, PGA18, Open, Stableford running over the Season of 13 weeks.

Top 10 say from Challenger go up to Web, bottom 10 from Web to Challenger, top 10 Web to PGa and bottom 10 from PGA to Web.

All new players start in Challenger, but keep other 2 constant at say 25 people, so lots of ups and downs to keep it fresh?

Sort of Career mode right there?
