Your doing it right, I have always used the direct Steam invite method for multiplayer and tournaments. The other thing that will flag requirements not met is different course versions.

Interesting, did not think to check with Randy to make sure we had the same version of the courses we tried. But we tried about 3 different courses; seems odd that we would have a conflict with all 3.

I'm not sure we used the Steam invite method. I went directly into Multiplayer, picked a course, set the conditions, limited max players to two (8 on another try), and added a player by clicking on the + sign in the empty player box. That brought up some selections, including Randy's steam name. I selected that, then checked for the Steam invite message. It confirmed that I had invited Randy. He responded to this invitation. And he then appeared in the empty player box. That's the only way I know to add a player. So each time we got this far. However, we could never get past the message that said we had a player or game requirements problem.

I think I have only got this issue when players have different versions of the course, there should only be one and same for both players. Even if one player change course to the same it can require a steam restart (or at least game restart).
I know you were aware of this and tried to correct it, but it seems it is hard to reset this sometimes.

I can confirm that whoever updated the course would have to quit PG and reopen it, otherwise PG will still have the outdated version loaded.

A Steam restart shouldn't be needed but can't do any harm :good:

Thanks everyone for your responses. Randy and I can try again and, maybe with your suggestions, get it to work properly next time.

Multiplayer is correct. The game will give you that response for same team color when not in a team MOP (mode of play). When you ARE in a team MOP, there needs to be a second team (ie. - Alt Shot Team Play), which means you and your pard are same color and two more players are a different color. For match play or stroke play, individuals must be different colors. If you met all those conditions and still got the message, sumpin's fud up...lol. The difficulty level shouldn't have any effect. When set to "Any"...all players will play their default level. When set to anything else...all players will play at the set difficulty regardless of their default levels.
