Tournament play should be putted out, fun stuff can have gimmies imho. As for the next Poll, some fantasy courses are great. Good fun to play and a stern test that you don't sometimes get with the real courses.

Doesn't take more than a few seconds to putt those small ones, why the rush. Still only takes 11-12 minutes for 9 having to putt out.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

It isn't about the small amount of time it takes, I said its a waste of time. Difference there. I play a lot of rounds with 4 or more players and when you have a lot of players with putts under one foot to watch and wait for it, its more of a bore. And they don't miss so why not just set the gimmies to one foot? It isn't going to change your average. Just something I thought I would see how the rest of the community thinks.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

for someone looking at the time element so heavily I am surprised
to see you guys with 4 or more playing tourney rounds together.
I like playing my tourneys alone so I can set and keep my own pace I do best when I play like that
takes about 12 minutes on a 9er and around 22 on an 18 hole round. seeing how speed is so important to you
I think I would play the tourney rounds solo and the fun rounds with others where time does not really matter
and you can set the gimmies at whatever you want.

I'm fine with gimmies off. Not above 1 foot if we allow them.

As for fantasy courses, what does that encompass? Realistic fictional courses should be allowed. If they are fantasy visually but still play as realistic courses, I'd be okay with those as well. Courses with unusual, tricked up holes, or otherwise deviating from realistic golf in terms of gameplay should be avoided for most main tournaments (certainly any used for stats or handicaps) but might be allowable in events intended for fun/different types of play (is that what Trifecta Tour is for?).

out of 143 that play the tourneys, not much interest in doing away with them I am guessing
with these causing scoring issues in the past, I really doubt anything will get changed, and to be honest
17 out of 143 ain't too good of a number not to mention the players really don't make the rules here
they are made by the owner and his staff. however, I also agree 5 is not a good number either but it goes to show with the total number of 22. a lot of folks could care less and just bypass this thread seeing how there have been a lot of people on the forums
of late. like I said the scoring issues of the past made this a non-starter when it was posted.

"out of 143 that play the tourneys, not much interest in doing away with them I am guessing"
Why would you think that? I think if people came to the forum and read the posts they would contribute. Doesn't have anything to do with interest. People aren't reading the forum.

"17 out of 143 ain't too good of a number"
I agree, but 17 yes and 6 no means the majority that posted want gimmies. I can't help it if people don't read the forums.

Setting the game with 1 foot auto gimmies does not cause a problem. This game has many problems, not caused by gimmies. I get them popping up all the time, and so do people I play with and talk to daily. How about a settlement? 1 foot auto gimmies on the PGA9, PGA18 and Stableford for a time and see how it goes.

No thanks, leave as it is. I missed a 61cm putt tonight and nearly missed the 1ft coming back..

Lots of people read the forums, just not many have an opinion they wish to share.

well if there was even thought about trying them which I don't believe there is
I would doubt very much it would be tested on the tourneys which are used for the stats.
really starts to make one wonder.
