How to install courses

ok, I rebooted after everything I tried and still have problems.
I ran the course checker and it showed around 36 validated courses
When I go to play a game there are only 20 courses showing and only 4 are playable. the others pop up the dialog in my other post.
update: Let me give u an example of what is weird

course checker shows some courses NOT installed but they show up on my screen when going to play. So I download some of the courses that give me that dialog and SOME courses work but not others. i.e. Pasatiempo 2019 is the 1st course showing in PG and I get that dialog for that course. Course checker shows pasatiempo_3dgv7 not installed so I install that AND I also installed pasatiempo_ca_final_vx2. They were the only Pasatiempo course listed in course checker.
HOWEVER, I download chicago golf club 3dg_v_1 which wasn't working and now that course works.
See why I can't figure this out. One works and the other doesn't. I installed Sedgefield and Augusta National in the course folder and they don't even show up in the PG screen (along with a lot of others.
It's not that I'm a novice user. I build and repair computer systems but I am a total newbie with PG.
I would love to get some certain courses working and I just can't figure why 1 works and another doesn't

no but I will uninstall PG and re-install and I'll get back.

I guess I'm SOL. I uninstalled, rebooted then re-installed.
Same DAMN result. Only a few courses show playable. I downloaded Pebble beach (2 courses) and Augusta National. None of them show up on the courses screen at all.
They ARE in the courses folder and the course checker shows them validated. In fact course checker shows a bunch (over 30) courses that are validated.
Only 20 show up in PG and only 5 are playable (1 of which I downloaded).
If I could get a refund for this game I would.
This the last game I buy off steam. Program doesn't work right but u can't get your money back. BS!!
Thanks for trying people but I think I am out of options at this point.

I don't believe this is a fault with Steam. However I must admit that it does seem your installation of PG is problematic.

If you have no objection we can discuss this further in M & G about me taking a look remotely if you are happy for me to do so ...

I wouldn't have a problem with that. Also, I have been trying to install this on a win 11 laptop so I got my win 10 laptop out and installed PG on that with the SAME result so I'm pretty sure it isn't my system

Let me now how you get on eclas

Remember when installing new courses you will need to make sure Perfect Golf is closed otherwise they won't appear in the carousel until you do close it and re-open it

Just got a new desktop with Windows 11. I was able to download a zip file, then extract it but can't seem to find where to put it. A step by step for 'Dummies' like me would sure help Mark instead of pieces of the steps from other players who may not have the same equipment. Thx

It all depends on how you installed Steam. By default the courses folder can be found ...

\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Courses

Once you have downloaded the courses ...

viewtopic.php?t=8663

you will need to extract them into the above folder.

I called a friend and we figured it out Mark. I am now able to put extracted zip file courses into a shortcut on my desktop. It's great. I will post the method when I get a few minutes. Thx for your help too. Cheers
