tried deleting and adding new save . As before

Ok I think the problem is solved . Human error and possibly me ( No I hear you cry not Dave being a dumbflip )
Now to recover my deleted files from the bin . Thanks for your help everyone very much appreciated.

Suggestion. Make sure Steam/Perfect Golf are closed. Then restore your files to the saved shot's folder.

Yes I did that and have slowly restored them to the game. Thanks

Had problems when restoring saved shots . Same problem . Bit of hassle but restored saved shots one at a time . Seems one save causes the rest from not showing in game .
