Introducing your next PG Classic course Starting 00.00 30.01.19 ending 11.02.19 Kingston Heath
The course is renowned for its natural charm and strategies created by its superbly crafted greens and bunkers.
Designed by Dan Soutar and built by one of golf’s unsung heroes – Mick Morcom – the course opened in 1925 at 6800 yards and par 82 which made it one of the longest and hardest courses in Australia.
Might be a nice idea to mention the JNPG designer here as well. Matthew Rose. Always enjoy his courses and appreciate his hard work.
thanks for the heads up, was going to use this course for the CC this week
now i don't have to over do this one this week, and already had another tourney ready

Introducing you next PG Classic Course ........ Le Golf National Starting 24/04/19 Ends 06/05/19
During his first years of Presidency (1981-1997) of the FFG, Claude Roger Cartier wished to create a permanent site for the Open de France which would develop over the years.
At that time, as President of the Championship Committee and Architect, I had outlined the idea of a National Centre with a Championship Golf Course. I had no idea at that time of a location.
In June of 1985 the Peugeot Open of France was held at the Saint Germain Golf Club. It was hugely successful but the need for more space to accommodate spectators was required.
This idea developed, especially with the success of the Trophy XR3 at La Boulie Golf Club – an exhibition match with S.Ballesteros and J.Nicklaus. Following this match Claude Roger Cartier at the FFG General Committee Meeting, in September 1985, wished “that a ‘National Course’ would be created as soon as possible. The FFG has a great need for this”.
WHEN the city of Bayonne is mentioned, any number of words come to mind. Probably making most people's top 10 would be ''pizza,'' ''tanker,'' and ''landfill.'' Near the bottom of the list would be the word ''golf.''
This thought process is understandable considering that Bayonne, situated in Hudson County, is the only one of the state's 21 counties not to be home to a golf course of any kind. The reason the trickle-down effect of Tiger-mania had not hit the state's most densely populated region earlier is because golf -- with its demands for large swaths of land, alluring scenery and a measure of privacy -- is the last sport that could be properly accommodated in such a cramped area.
But come 2005, golfers will be teeing off at a gilt-edged Scottish-style links course built atop of one of the few places in Bayonne that is not populated: a former waste disposal site. The project is being headed up by Empire Golf USA, which operates nine courses throughout the country, including three top-ranked courses in New Jersey.
The attraction of building a golf course in Bayonne -- a blue-collar port city that at one time was a leading oil refiner and shipping terminus -- is strictly based on its proximity to Manhattan.
What's more, the novelty of providing Manhattan's power players with a complete golfing experience a John Daly tee shot from the city is spreading. In addition to the Bayonne Golf Club, a course at Port Liberte in Jersey City -- a paradise for those who work primarily in the city's financial district on the banks of the Hudson -- is being designed by Tom Kite, a United States

Introducing your next PG Classic course Shinnecock Hills Starts 00.00 22/05/19 ends 23.59 03/06/19
Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, founded in 1891, is one of the historic golfing institutions in the United States. It is the oldest incorporated golf club and was one of the five founding member clubs of the USGA. The Clubhouse, built in 1892, was the work of the architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White. While in character it remains substantially the same as a century ago, it has enjoyed several expansions and renovations in the intervening decades, before undergoing a major restoration completed in 2016.
The original twelve hole golf course was designed by Willie Davis, and expanded to eighteen holes in the spring of 1895. These links were revised four times before the present course, designed by William Flynn and built by Dick Wilson of Toomey and Flynn, was opened for the 1931 season.
Shinnecock is laid out utilizing the natural topography of the Shinnecock Hills, and resembles a number of the courses on the British Isles. It has long been recognized as one of the top courses of the world, and has been the scene of notable U.S.G.A. events since its beginning. These include the second U.S. Open Championship and U.S. Amateur in 1896, the Womenâs Amateur in 1900, and the Walker Cup Match in 1977. The U.S. Open Championship was held at Shinnecock again in 1986, and in 1995 for the 100th anniversary of the Open, and again in 2004. The 2018 and 2026 U.S.
Open Championships will be held at Shinnecock.
