HOW TO : Trouble-free resuming of games

Hi,

We often have problems where players have not been able to resume games properly. The following is the easiest and most effective way to ensure trouble-free resumes.


Remember, firstly, that the host is always the host. A 'guest' cannot take over hosting duties.

If a player is disconnected, then the host should re-establish the game.

When they do, they will most likely see the other player in the game, but showing 'disconnected'

DO NOT KICK the player and re-invite, as this will break the resume.

Even if a resume is not present, the host can still invite the guest in and as long as the guest has a slot in the game, he will be able to return.

The only way to effectively re-invite is to open the cog symbol which shows you the players in game as you would see when starting, and then use the green FRIENDS button beside the chatbox. Invite through there and the player will receive the invite and will then show LOADING when on their way back.

Using other methods to invite will usually end up with the host in one game, and the guest either hanging in limbo, or appearing to be in the game but still showing disconnected on the host's screen.
