After 2 of the 5 rounds completed, here's a little report.

Division 1:


Certainly not a case of the same old, same old here with neither of the usual top 2 anywhere near the top. NIBNOB and sk1pmcgee (after promotion from Div 2 and from Amateur) at the top with NIBNOB holding top spot due to 1 more birdie. They have a lead of 2 over bobfletch with 5 more within 2 more shots, every shot is going to count from here on in! With Sikkum and cubbies645 missing a week, they will be pushing hard to catch those above, waiting for a slip up from anyone.

Division 2:

TBone has started steadily and heads kennetharry by 1 shot. The rest are another 2 back but with only 4 shots separating 3rd from 11th, all to play for. roande47 and Duval59 have a bit of work to do to avoid the drop but are certainly not out of survival.

Division 3:

stringb after ousting Affo in the cup has amassed an impressive 40pts and sits 6 ahead of the nearest challengers. They are Perculator and hockeynut with the rest still close enough to let a good round through them into the promotion mix. The bottom 4 look sorted already unless bbbuckshot1 and lilpoison return, both capable of posting a good point haul and catching the players above them.

Division 4:

Tight at the top! A 3 way split only being separated by Birdie count. SimChars1968, Stozza and Makosha are posting identical scores, but they are not far ahead of the field. Just 2 points before we see parman and rd.weaver. This could the closet Division this month with only 9pts separating 1st from 13th. Looks a good scrap to avoid the drop too.

Division 5:

jspirate in command here 5 ahead of Bluesman and 1 more ahead of JMK59. Though players like Wolle are capable of shooting low so could get into the mix.

Division 6:

This Division is seeing some good participation and had 2 of the best scores of the round, beating all of the Division 1 players! pctyoyo shot 21pts to lead the Division and Chicas used th 21pt haul to offset a not so good 1st round to sit in 3rd just behind UK4LifeBBN with norm474 just 1pt further back.

Divisions 7 & 8:

Less participation here but as expected but alanj312 doesn't care and has Division 7 in control, 4 ahead of Kimmer1947 and Briso, fubzee and gbodave are making sure of promotion from Division 8 as well. They might jump 2 Divisions depending on the no shows from the leagues above.

Thanks everyone for playing. The leagues will settle down and reduce in number as expected. Anyone not playing any rounds in the month will be removed but can always rejoin the Feeder league if they wish. This will lead to more players than 4 being promoted further down. I think there will eventually be about 5/6 active leagues each month which is great.

3 out of the 5 rounds played, here's an update:

Division 1:


NIBNOB now leads on his own as the Division 1 players had a slightly tougher time with the best score being 19pts shot by 4 people. He's 2 ahead of bobfletch but crucially, no one caught up any shots, can he hold on?? At the other end, it looks like boss302 and Topflight after fighting to avoid the last relegation spot with boss302 being the man in better form it seems...looks like going to the last round there!

Division 2:

Tbone, the leader after 2 rounds faltered and let duncanmathieson with a Division best 18pts catch him. These two are 2 ahead of Cestrian and 1 more ahead of kennetharry who suffered and RandyG. But, 1st and 13th are only separated by 10pts, so even roande and Duval could in theory challenge for promotion or relegation.

Division 3:

A couple of 30pt hauls here from terbal and charlieb putting them in contention after stringb felt the pressure of leading, though he still hold top spot by 1. 4th down to 10th is tight and lilpoison even missing a week could catch LES1959 to avoid the drop.

Division 4:

Top score in this Division was 16pts by rd.weaver, Just Jolly and RickW. This is a tight league with 1st and 12th just separated by 9pts. Number of birdies could become important here....but do you go for them and risk a bogey or play solid and get points on the board?? Will pcarr232 rue missing a week as a decent score could have put him in the promotion spots but now he's in 13th!

Division 5:

jspirate even with a nmot so good week still holds a 3pt lead over JMK59 but ergo76prop scored the best out of all the leagues amassing 21pts which have offset his lower 1st period score and now he's in the hunt sat 4th. norsiwel will benefit from posting a score and players above dropping out to remain in this Division probably.

Off to Bonneville we go on Friday with the period ending on Tuesday 23rd.

Into the last day for your Period 4 round to be played, finished midnight today (Tuesday 23rd April).

4 of the 5 rounds completed for April, how's it shaping up? It was a tough round with a Par of 37, top scores being 32s so 18pts only!

DIVISION 1:

NIBNOB continues to hold the lead and must be favourite taking a 3pt cushion going into the last round ahead of Step who could only manage to get 1pt back in round 4. Affo managed to haul himself back into podium contention which looks a 3 way battle with himself and sk1pmcgee and bobfletch (both of whom had a struggle in Period 4), though 2 others are waiting just 2 pts further back. At the other end, 3 to go down with Sikkum nearly certain to be one of them with cubbies, boss302 and Topflight the others in the mix.

DIVISION 2:

Tight! TBone after a stutter in period 3, managed to pull 2 ahead of duncanmathieson who is 1 ahead of LinksPro (period 4 Division high) showing TP is proving to be not so bad and Cestrian, the Gold Cup finalist. Kennetharry is still in touch and a good score in Period 5 would put pressure on the guys above. Scoops100 looks like his missed period 2 could send him down...but if others above don't post a score in Period 5, we'll see. roande47 struggled in P4 and finds himself in trouble, but the other spot has 7 players within 5pts, so all to play for.

DIVISION 3:

The headline here is stringb missing out on scoring in Period 4. He would probably be sat at the top if he had. In his place Perculator stepped in and is 3 ahead of charlieb. Both of these look good for promotion along with hockeynut sat in 3rd 3pts ahead of the rest. 2 of the players who didn't score had part rounds recorded...make sure you don't have a resume sat there folks!

DIVISION 4:

Makosha has pulled 6 clear thanks to a superb haul of 18pts, jt top across all the leagues. rd.weaver is 2nd and has a cushion of 3pts too so these 2 look set for Division 3 next month. boxmaker111 is next and favourite to join the other 2 with coach and SimChars not having their best rounds and slipping back. Both are capable of nailing a round though, so all to play for.

DIVISION 5:

The top 3 are separated by 1pt with ergo76prop making up for a poor 1st round and sitting in between jspirate and JMK59, who will take top spot? 4 behind this trio is Wolle just 2 ahead of altaedm, but with no shows in leagues above, probably more than 4 to go up from this Division.

Other DIVISIONS:

Div 6 is more active than Div 5 and pctyoyo and Chicas swap places after Chicas struggled in P4 while pctyoyo posted the Division best score. Most of this Division could go up too. In Div 7, alanj312 has a commanding lead of 11pts over Nickel3rd and Kimmer1947. The other leagues will condense to make more competitive ones for May.

Remember, to be in the Cup draw for May, you need to have played 3 or more rounds in April.

Into the last day of the April Season, got until midnight today to get that round in. A few guys could be promoted if they play, or relegated if they don't!

New Season will start on May 1st.

And so the 2nd Season is completing but the first for OOM Division points.

DIVISION 1:

In 2nd place after Period 1, the new champion, NIBNOB did not look back after that. He gained 4 shots on the big 2 after Period and managed to hold on to win the title by 2pts from Step with Affo recovering for 3rd place. The leader after Period 1 hung on in there after promotion in March to finish 4th, 4pts ahead of a trio of players. At the other end, Great_White_Shark will have to start at the bottom if he returns which leaves 3 to go down. Sikkum, cubbies645 (who never recovered after missing a round) and boss302-1969 who found life in the top Division tough. Will he bounce back in May?

DIVISION 2:

In the end, the top 4 got away from the pack and finished 6 ahead of the rest of the field, but it was duncanmathieson who took Divisional honours and back to back promotions after TBone struggled in the final round to finish 1 adrift. Also going up to Division 1 are the Gold Cup winner Cestrian and kennetharry who steadied the ship after a disappointing round 3. Lawnbowlr will disappear and scoops100 and LinksPro show how missing 1 round can be costly. They will drop into Division 3 along with roande47 who goes straight back down.

DIVISION 3:

5 players will be going up to Division 2 with Perculator going up as Champion managing to stay ahead of the rest even though the next 3 players outshot him by a point in Period 5. He has recorded back to back promotions along with 2 other promotees, charlieb and Flyer01. hockeynut finished 3 with the lowest birdie count amongst the top 10, but played steadily to go up. The final promotion spot goes to BadRobot65 courtesy off 6 more birdies than Milehigh. Sandybunker and rockerrob79 will make way for others to come up which left 2 players to go down which turned out to be LES1959 and bbbuckshot1 after both missing rounds.

DIVISION 4:

The top 6 are going up from this Division, but Makosha didn't have to worry about that storming to the title by 6 clear points. rd.weaver, the Silver Cup winner was 2nd a further 9 ahead of 3rd place. In fact, the next 5 players were separated by 1pt....with RickW, boxmaker111, skip67 and Coach098 getting the promotion spots. Coach098 edging his Canadian compatriot stevemel (who got the Division high 18pts in Period 5) on birdies scored. This was the only Division to have every player post scores which made the relegation battle just as tight. POGO eventually picked up last behind PMc and with Stozza and SimChars1968 missing the last round, they both go down too which meant parman survives even though he missed Period 4.

DIVISION 5:

8 players going up here but Cup draw seeding was at stake. jspirate after a low Period 4 score, bounced back and shot the Division high 19pts to take the title, 3 ahead of ergo76prop and JMK59. Their promotion was never really in doubt though Wolle left it until the final afternoon to ensure they finished 4th with Lefty48, altaedm, bo.leto1947 and roadrunner531 all going up to Division 4.

DIVISION 6:

pctyoyo dominated this Division and finished 8 ahead of TexasACES who overtook Chicas in period after they struggled over the last 2 rounds. JoeMen, Leeuw68, Stevemaccal, UK4LifeBBN and JohnMichael will all go up to Division 5.

THE REST:

alanj312 stormed to Div 7 victory, 13 pts ahead of Kimmer1947 but the bookies make him hot favourite for a Tier rise to Amateur for May....will the rise continue? Nearly all of Division 7 will become Division 6 in May. All 7 players who posted a score in Div 8 will be in Div 7 for May along with the top 2 from the Feeder league. The rest remaining in the Feeder league.
