Forget Avent Ball with Controller

Post by Greensboronclion »

And for that matter any RTS swing. I had played about ten rounds with my Xbox controller and only one round under par using Caliber ball but had so many long shots into greens it was just to tough to score especially on long courses like Firestone so I played the last two rounds there with the Avent ball. Well after 81 and 82 its back to the Caliber as you just cant control the Avent and its why all RTS controller and Mouse players use the Caliber. For those of you that were so scared that us controller players were going to tear it up just look at my scores and you can see why it wont happen and why the controller is so tough to use. As a matter of fact I am the only player playing with it right now and the difficulty is surely why. I find it sad that only about 15 player play RTS as it truly is the best way to play this game and if all played it the scoreboard would look like a real life scoreboard but unfortunately it will never happen and it is what it is but I am thankful that I can once again play the way I choose and no longer worry about where I end up on the scoreboard as Par is now the goal. :drinks:

I play motion swing tour pro and use ball that hits longer but less control and penalty for ratio power loss ect. I agree on longer courses the longer hitting ball is essential. Looks like the vote was a waste of time greens your the only one playing in the tours using controller dude.Maybe send the word out controllers are allowed again , i will check with friends that used to play controller and let them know its all good to play again on the tours, but i think most have gone to the golf club.

Maxie I really believe they are all gone at this point and it's a trend getting worse. Last week only 45 players finished the PGA18 and can't remember it ever being that low. Yeah I am it and not setting the world on fire either but at least I am having some fun and I have pulled the 5I from bag and replaced with 5W as I can use 7W to gap to 5I but need a lot of big sticks playing with Caliber ball. For giggles I pulled a Logitech 310 out and played a practice round with it an birdied 7 holes on front side with it as it's a straight shooter but I play strictly with Xbox controller and I have shot one round under par but it's legit and that's how it should be. My putting needs work as I seem to shank a lot of putts and at the Walker course in first round was putting for birdie and 7 putt the hole. Lol. All and all we are losing players at an alarming rate and they are heading to TGC.
