HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
1. Making sure you have closed PG, open Steam in your usual manner. Double clicking it in the taskbar usually does the trick.
2. Right click Perfect Golf and in the menu that appears left click on "Properties".
3. In the window that appears click on the "LOCAL FILES" tab.
4. Finally click on "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..." and let it complete. Any missing or corrupt files will be downloaded.

Re: HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
sounds like you have never done this before dave wow 59.
I think if I where you I would check and make sure you have the auto-update
checked, these files may also fix some glitches you may be running across in the game.

Re: HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
Hi Dave
the missing file is on the pgls site when using mega to download a course.
The file "lang/sdsdsdsdssddssdetc" could not be loaded.
I get this message regardless of what course i try to download.

Re: HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
Downloading courses from PGLS would not cause your PG installation to require file verification.JohnMichael wrote: Sun Jul 12, 2020 2:43 pm Hi Dave

Re: HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
Players have reported that verifying the PG files again after previously doing so, reports 1 file failing to validate.
I can confirm this is only the case when you start PG at least once since validating the PG files. The file in question failing to validate is 'output_log.txt' in the 'Perfect Golf_Data' folder which is the log file for PG and is always updated when PG starts up, hence it failing validation.
Therefore this validation failure can safely be ignored.

Re: HOW TO : Verify your PG game files
My primary Web Browser is also Mozilla Firefox. I like the "customization feature" built into it. I don't like having the Home Button on the left side of my browsers and Firefox makes that an easy change by clicking the bars on the upper right, choosing "customize" to make your Menu Bar work and look best for you. Also very easy to click the bars on the upper right and look-up forgotten passwords (if you saved them).
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge don't hold a candle to Firefox features IMHO. Those who like to customize their browser without having to plug-in extentions and add-ons, I recommend Firefox. (yes - it's also very secure)
Example of the customize choices in Firefox:
