Weird snap numbers

Post by Greensboronclion »

Just checking if anybody else is seeing this. In practice mode if I hit a perfect snap its reading .54 and if off left or right the readings are pretty far off and saw one at 7.49 which makes no sense. Its not affecting the flight of the ball and I restarted my PC and steam but still getting those numbers which I have never seen. Also something strange at the PGLS Open I went to hit my tee shot on the first hole and hit it perfect and the screen reversed and the ball was hit backwards which was then declared OB and I was returned to the tee hitting 3rd shot. Some weird stuff today but interested if anybody else has seen those numbers in practice mode.

If you are a clicker, that phenomenon happens to me quite a bit. It is a PG bug, but caused by human error. When I attempt to hit the snap my right hand has a tendency to jerk to the right, this is involuntary and unless I really concentrate on quickly releasing my finger after the third click I can get the 180-degree direction change. I believe the bug is in the fact that the game allows directional input at or just after the snap. Very frustrating (ask my pard).

Yes it's happened to me also before and I figured I wasn't alone. Yes very frustrating just didn't know why it happens but now I know.

Just to clarify ... the reason I gave above is just a theory that I came up with. It has happened so many times to me that I do believe this is what is happening. I would be happy if PG dropped in and corrected me, but that would mean they might be able to fix it. :meeting:

Perculator good luck with PG chiming in as I doubt we ever hear from them again. They could fix almost every glitch with one patch and I believe they would if they could but with Trackman being the boss it won't happen. Just my gut but I would bet it's killing Mike and Andrew that they can't as they really did put a lot into this game but the funds were not there and they had no choice to go the Trackman route.

i have a "sort of" fix for this issue.....but it means playing with another player to witness the issue......allow mulligans on non solo games....im not really sure how it would work ,, is there a way for pgls to tell if someone has used a mulligan in a tourney?

having witnessed this issue happen to Perc over the years (30+) and recently had it happen to me (playing solo) a few times, its a pitty we cant do something about it :fool: :fool:

If I am not mistaken, mulligans are disabled in the tourney API and cannot be enabled for tourneys. I could be wrong.

Well, as I said, I believe it is definitely a bug, but an avoidable bug caused by human error. Unfortunate indeed but I would never take a mulligan.
