The Caincalaway Classic (January 2024)
The Caincalaway Classic is a 2-round event of 18-hole stroke play golf...with a twist. For each shot, you MUST use the default club that your "caddy" gives you. You CAN change the shot type (i.e. chip, pitch, etc.), but that's it. We're using the honor system. Both rounds can be played at any time over the next month. Upon completion, post your score(s) here as a reply to the thread. You have until 11:59 PM on Jan 31 to complete your rounds. Lowest score wins!
NOTE: You can play solo or with others. Here are the details (use the same conditions for both rounds).
In the game, click Solo Play > Create New Game.

Don't forget you have a mulligan on the first tee like I did. Shame I didn't record the round, as I landed a hole-in-one on Hole 3. Couldn't believe it!

-10.....
This is an interesting concept, having to stick to caddie selection is something i rarely do.....i usually go up 1,2 even 3 clubs as a rule depending on wind/slope esp with calibre ball.....
This format makes you think outside the box esp from about 60-100 yards out....switching to long pitch to avoid spin back on soft greens for eg can help but beware the roll out.....

Re: The Caincalaway Classic (January 2024)
That seems fair given it is currently an honour based tourney.Briso wrote: Wed Jan 03, 2024 1:47 pm Would it not be easier if everyone posted a screenshot of their scorecard just like nibnob did?

Screenshots are above my pay grade - would be cool though! Filing my -5 score here but huge breakthrough on this round - I actually birdied a par 3 - I birdied one last year (v 390 bogeys+) so got my par 3 birdie already for 2024!!

I like the screenshot idea. BTW, Riddler told me his R2 score in a PM. I didn't want anyone to think I made it up. lol
