Weekly KO Tourney suggestions

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

I don't want to go down the route of manually setting up matches or anyone entering any results etc so if we can't do it via the API then I would rather not do it at all, which will rule out a 3-club tourney Terry.

I quite like the idea of a Match League though and maybe we could run that on a Monday or Tuesday night from within M & G.

With regard to Sunday evening I've been working on setting a different course for the rounds, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final of the KO, which means each week 4 courses would be used. A move to 7pm GMT / BST would be best as well.

So far in testing with Les (Biffa) this has worked as it should and hopefully it will be ready for this Sunday.

I like Jollybandido's idea. Each player would have 1 match per week. The 4th week would be the final. Also, since there is only 1 match per player per week, the result of each match could then be reflected in the Match 9 ladder, if the API permits.

3 club is set up just as a normal knockout except players remove clubs from their bag. you cant remove the driver but you dont have to use that.you would chose 2 clubs plus a putter which is always in your bag.

how about a 4 hole knockout just like the open play off? could be match or stroke. would speed things up.

It doesn't seem to be very well advertised. As a relative newcomer, I'd never heard of it! Maybe an e-mail to members would be a good idea as a reminder? And yes I agree some of the players take what seems an excessive time to play a shot/putt only to miss anyway!
