Beta Courses

I have a few questions about Beta courses. Aren't these courses still in the testing mode? Why do we keep using these courses for tournaments? Why do, some of these courses, never get out of Beta mode? Does the builder not have time to finish or have they just given up? I count 17 Beta courses are currently active at PGLS. Spookrocket was downloaded 12/19/17 and Frenchlink 9/21/18. What happened with those courses and the other 15 which are still in Beta mode? I bring this up because I know some of us have experienced issues when playing some of these courses in tournaments. I did yesterday at Kiawai on hole #4. I hit my second shot into the water at 150 yards from the green. I chose drop and backed up twice to reach the fairway. I hit drop and the attached pictures shows what happened. It looks like I am in water not 160 yards from the green but 1" from the hole. It took me hitting F2 about 4 times before it actually showed me on the green 1" from the hole. You could not see the ball but I tried to putt and I could hear the ball drop in the hole for a par. With over 300 courses could we please stop using beta courses?

No idea why courses are created and never completed to a "Final" version. Maybe abandoned and can't complete it due to losing the source files, lack of interest, who knows.

I will have to take the rap for using a beta course. I've always maintained we shouldn't use them for tournies and will be making changes to make it impossible to do so.
