Caliper Ball

Post by LinksPro »

So I broke down and bought the caliper ball last week. Played about 6 rounds. Only difference is the ball doesn't go very far. Heck, I cant reach any par 5's in 2. I'm hitting a 5 wood to holes where I used to hit a 5 iron. Oh, by the way, it doesn't go any straighter. If I miss a snap by the thinnest of margins I still miss putts, fairways, greens. That was a ripoff.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

while i except you lose a few eagle chances, youll gain more birdies....dont max out shots(it will go wide if you do), go up clubs and stick to 12 oclock or less....be bold on approach shot as the ball has a tendency drop quickly, leaving you close ......it took me a few weeks to get used to the change....stick with it.......i dont consider it a ripoff

I almost never go over the top snap. I will go up a club and hit 5.5 dots usually. I don't see the ball going any straighter than the normal ball. I went on the practice green and intentionally missed bottom snaps by a fraction of an inch and it will still miss a straight putt. On approach shots I am still 25 to 30 feet wide by a small missed bottom snap. No different than before. Beside, now I need to figure out all the distances for all the clubs and make a chart. Another pain in the a$$. Im not seeing any advantage with this ball.
