Question for Players - CTP Tourney

When you hit a shot from a bunker and it plugs in another bunker, is there anyway to make PG not give you a plugged shot for your second try?

This happened to me on hole 18 for the current CTP tourney. On my first shot I hit a decent snap on a greedy set-up and the ball plugged. The second shot was then plugged and when I changed aim or changed clubs it still left me plugged. In effect, I only get one try.

If there is no way to remove the plugged lie... my new strat will be go waaaaay long on the first shot! haha

The 2nd shot should be from the same place you took the first shot.

Are you saying that if you plug the first shot into another bunker, your second shot is always plugged ?

Yes.

I can't say that they are always plugged because I haven't run into that in CTP before yesterday (sand to sand plugged shot). That said, the second shot/attempt on 18 was plugged and I could not get it to revert to a normal lie in the sand.

Okay I managed to plug the ball in the front left bunker on Hole 2 but from the fairway and my 2nd shot gave me this …

which looks plugged on the fairway

However my 2nd shot still behaved normally

Did your 2nd shot from the bunker actually act like it was plugged ?

This has happened to me many times (King of Plug). If the first one plugs, the second shot is plugged and nearly always plays like a plug. Not sure I have seen one like the one above in the fairway though.

I can only now think that it ignores that its plugged on a fairway, although it could happen I suppose with soft fairways set ?

Oh yeah. I hit a decent snap and the ball went like 12 feet lol
