Use of Controllers in PGLS tournies
Re: Use of Controllers in PGLS tournies
Both 3C and controller have their little perks, no doubting that, the difference is that when you get good at 3C you have those distance points on the swing meter in your head, you kind of know where you need to be stopping for the optimal distance control. With controller in any given round you will face shots from distances that you cannot accurately account for and you have to be content just to be putting even if its from 30 feet away, no exploit or zero axis pad can help you with that, and that's the reason a good clicker beats a good controller player.

I will guarantee you I miss the snap closer to the 2.5 than the .05. Its really frustrating when you miss a snap by the smallest margin possible and still miss a 4 foot straight putt. I bet you don't miss those with a controller.Steam allows a certain type of Controller to be adjusted so it nearly hits a .01 or .02 shot every time. We 3Clickers usually miss .05 to 2.5, a perfect 0.00 snap is a rare occurrence.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

You have no clue. I played 3C for almost 20 years and I have missed more four foot putts in the last two years with a controller than I did in those previous 20 years playing 3C. Do yourself a favor pickup a controller and try and maybe you will finally understand how damn hard a legit controller can be.

you don't miss 4ft putts by missing the snap by the smallest margin...40ft putts, yeah but not 4ft, you'd have to miss the snap by quite a bit to miss.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

heck i miss the mark all the time on 3c just look at some of my streams
i do it all the time keeps me from having to move my golfer to line them short putts up.lol
next that will be called cheating.
this post has gotten very boring, by the vote looks like the controller will be back in the tourneys

I agree and the one big difference between PG and Links on the longer putts you could miss on the bottom and still make in Links but not here as the longer putts you need to be spot on to make. The distance control is much easier on them long ones but not keeping the putt on line.

For one steam allows every controller to be dumbed down not just certain ones, Affo said it right when he said that anyone exploiting will stick out like a sore thumb, then the focus will be on them, eventually they will be gone. maybe us controller players use the record feature and submit one tour round for admin to view, then they could accurately assess a potential exploiter. I have no issue with submitting a recorded round file.

I also would have no problems submitting recorded rounds but please don't laugh when you see my two way miss.
