I know if I miss the green with both shots, I get -250, but what I can't find is a breakdown of how the score is awarded when I do hit the green. Does anyone know?
TIA
Flop7Wood
P.S. Nebraska Dunes was brutal...didn't learn a thing.
Rd 1 - 7 holes missed the green with two shots. Mostly deep bunkers that hit the lip and want 40 yards
Rd 2 - 9 holes missed the green with two shots. 7 holes in succession. Hit the green on most but everything bounced or rolled off for miles. Most pins right on the edges. Yuk.
Rd 3 - 7 holes missed the green with two shots. Mostly deep bunkers that hit the lip and went 40 yards.
Rd 4 - 7 holes missed the green with two shots. Same reasons as above. I did manage to figure out how to get out of the impossible bunkers, but nothing holds in this game.
I was under the impression this tourney was to improve skills. These kinds of holes...34 yards to a flag that is 30 feet down from the ball and is another 10 feet of slope after that..can't hold that in a million years in this game. Was tough, and no fun.

Re: How are hole scores calculated?
granted this is a tough skills course, but if you look at some of the other scores
they are all doable shots, if im guessing right you are pretty new to the game and these shots are not the easiest
to learn but can be done. just hang in there as this tourney is a great learning tool for approach shots.

Re: How are hole scores calculated?
Thanks for that reply, davefv92c. For sure, I try to use this tournament as a learning tool, I just had a hard time learning anything...this time. I have played them before, and learned.
The biggest hindrance to learning this game has nothing to do with these tourneys, they are great! Playing PRO, I can only aim on the overhead, so it would be nice to see WHERE I aimed...post shot...so I can learn how much draw, fade, or distance to use for shot in different conditions. I just finished the PGA Tough 9 at Augusta. With a 32mph cross wind, I'd like to see the result in comparison to where I aimed. Also, I'd like the swing meter (I'm a clicker) to stay on the screen..again..post shot...until I click continue, so I can learn about the different reactions to different snaps.
After playing Links for 27 years, I started this game on May 10th. A huge learning curve. A little at a time. Love it.
P.S. Do you know the formula for scoring on each hole?

Re: How are hole scores calculated?
Mark may chime in here about the scoring, but no i don't and never seen it posted before.
just think as a tour pro we don't get to aim in the overhead, i zoom out and find my landing area
and that is how i aim. i also use the panoramic view as it lifts you up in the air to give you a better view off the tee.
and all around every other place you may need to get that type of view.

Re: How are hole scores calculated?
I'm not certain on the calculation but I believe it's 500 - the distance from the pin.
Straight in gets you 1,000 points.
