ok here it goes, I have been thinking about this for a few years now as this is where I look to see how good I'm playing
and where I sit among the other players in my playing level.
ok, the pic I'm posting is the first page from Player Stats, Tour Pro. the numbers I have circled are folks that really don't play so much yet they hold high spots in the rankings. some of these have stopped playing, yet others are still playing regular yet they do not participate in the tourneys that make the rankings. I feel there should be just like there is in the ladders here a rule where if you do not participate in the tourneys that matter you should lose your place in the rankings and drop down to the players who are really participating. to be honest, I believe it would bring up the participation in the tourneys and keep things more in the proper perspective. would like to hear what others think about this.

Re: Tourney Participation
I agree with Dave here makes no sense to have ghosts sitting and blocking the people who play every week advancing in the rankings, lets update player status for those who actually play the game.

Re: Tourney Participation
I would say no ranking tourney play every 30 days a player would lose 5 spots or something like that.

Re: Tourney Participation
just checking you guys know you can change months and years on those pages?
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Re: Tourney Participation
I know the minimum to appear in a monthly table is 4 rounds, perhaps Mark for the year to date one it could be 50 (4 x 12 rounded) rounds? I realise this would mean smaller leaderboards at the start of the year but make more sense?
Just a thought.

Re: Tourney Participation
To be honest that's the first time I have looked at the rankings in a couple years and for the players not playing much if you took them off of the leaderboard they probably could care less. There should be a number of events that people have to play to remain on the ranking page just as it is on the Real PGA tour so that is probably the way to go. With that said probably only a handful of people actually look at it in the first place so its all cosmetic.
