Event dates

Post by gbodave »

A lot of events now and the start and end dates are often different so it's a bit difficult to keep them all in mind. Could the dates be shown on the tournament list in the game so they would be seen when playing each round.

Certainly worth some thought if it is possible and not too much work.

I actually missed a round of Survivor because I lost track of the dates.

There isn't a lot of room in the tournament lists to add much but I can take a look.

Every tourney page at PGLS does have a "Tourney closes in" section though.

Agreed but when I want to play in an event the first place I want to go to is the in game tournament list and the last place I think of looking is on the website. I've missed playing the final round a couple of times. This week it was the Continental tour event. If I remember rightly it starts at M/N on Thursday and I convinced myself, erroneously, it would finish on Thursday before M/N, hence no 4th round score. Without the visual prompt it probably means pencil and paper multiple times each week.

Looking at what's available now there is PGLS-PG Classics with what seems to be quite a lot of space to the right. Could it not say "Ends DD/MM" there ?

The two events with start/end times that vary, Survivor and Divisions, would, in my opinion, be well served if a notification was sent when a new event starts.

I will take a look at all options and see what I can come up with.

how about when you get the score recorded pm...it includes a "remember this event finishes (insert date)" ?
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

That might be 3 days hence and it will be in more than one event. A lot of non golf things can happen in that time to remove it from memory..

This sound like a good idea. eg. I finish playing round 1,log into the website, click on private message and it says " You completed round 1 of the PGLS9 Tour with a score of 30. This tournament ends 2/4/20."
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!
