Every week - another gimmick

This tourney is not for the feint hearted, namby pambie or lily livered players. No perfect greens here. You have been warned!

Every week - another gimmick

Post by whattashot »

1. With hundreds of courses, we are playing a phony BETA course that no one has played (who has time to do a practice round?) and the first round is a gimmick with challenge tees.

2. Why does the wind in this game ONLY manifest itself in the last 50 yards of a shot???

3. Why does the wind coming straight at the player at 27 mph have ZERO effect on a 50 yard full swing, yet on a 35 FOOT chip with a side wind of 24 mph move it 15 feet???

Asking for a friend.

I can answer no2, as ball velocity drops, wind will play a bigger factor in it's trajectory. Though the model might be flawed, happens in real life too.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Your reply is BS. If I aim the ball for 200 yards distance, and 42 yards right on a shot of 185 and a side wind of 30 mph, it will STILL be short, and dive to the right 50 feet past the pin.

Lol, don't seem to get those problems, ball does roughly what I expect it to do most of the time...if it was exact each time, be boring.

But thanks for the nice reply to an attempt at an answer, won't bother next time.

the reason is pg have never worked out high winds they admitted that themselves a long time ago so they should not be used.

Title of post should be changed - Another Week Another Crybaby Whine

It's a computer game! We (most sane gamers) have long ago realized it is not perfect (whoever thought to call their game perfect should have their head examined), deal with the bugs, it is all we have. In real golf there is the expression, "rub of the green", I can translate, shit happens. You guys want an adjustment? Please, the faults of this game are more than apparent and have been that way since day one.

Stay safe

best thing to do, is if a tourney style settings or course bother you just don't play it.
i often skip this tourney as i am not here to punish myself with the crazy wind this game comes with.
i got to be real bored to even play it. there are now plenty of tourneys that skipping a few each week has become a standard for me.
keeps me happy and i guess that is all that matters. i used to play every tourney but now days i find myself wanting to spend some time doing other things rather than sitting in front of the computer all day long playing the game. hell i have taken back up reading a good horseshit and gunsmoke story so i now sit a read for a bit each day. to each their own i reckon.
