Course Problem

Post by SteadiEddie »

Re PGLS-PGLS9, current course is Highlands v_1c ,(Tournament page- Perfect Golf), course available for download from Mega is highlands_v_1c .These are entirely different file names. PGLS crs checker tells me all my files are up to date. Can anyone please supply me with a link so that I can play this round. I am guessing that the crs showing up on the Tournament page (Perfect Golf) is an earlier version of the crs. Thanking you, Ed.

Not exactly sure what the issue is but this is the version we have ...

pgcourses.php?id=79

which is indeed highlands_v_1c.zip

The actual in-game name doesn't need to match the file name when downloading courses.

Thanks again I think, Mark. This course does not load for me,in PP Tournaments, I have re-downloaded it several times. Does anyone else have a problem with this course or is it that it should not be in my playable Tournaments because I did not complete an earlier round or something else? I can play everything else I have applied for except this course. It is really giving me the sh*ts. Regards, Ed

As you have used my Courses Checker program can I assume there were no issues showing with the Highlands course in the middle section?

When you say it doesn't load does it reach a certain loading percentage then stop loading?

At that point it is worth checking the console using F8 in-game to see if errors are being detected. If there are errors these are reflected in the 'output_log.txt' file which you can find in the 'Perfect Golf_Data' folder, which you can attach here.

Also check the 'highlands_v_1c' folder contains these files ...

Thanks Mark. F8 shows up like a xmas tree with errors. I have a screen shot but am too dumb to be able to attach it, lol. I see "insert image" in the editor but don't know how to select it. Help ! Ed.

Also,I have verified Steam files, there are no problems in the "middle section", nothing needs checking or updating. Folder is an exact copy of your screen shot including each file size and name.Guessing that this is the kind of stuff you have for breakfast, lol. Game files corrupted? Enjoy, regards Ed.

Have uninstalled/reinstalled both Steam and Perfect Golf twice. F8 shows same page full of errors.

Had a nice chat with Mark, he's a good bloke, he fixed a weird problem and we had a laugh, all good.
