Could someone check my score on the last hole please. I was 8 under going to the last and scored a par 5. I make it that I should be 8 under.

Hi,

You received a penalty stroke at some point during your round. Check your Private Messages to see which hole you got it on.

did you get a disconnect at some time in the round that is where some of the penalty strokes are coming from
lately, due to steam, I had one the other day myself but was lucky and on the tee when it happened
so I did not get one. seems to be anymore we are getting quite a few steam disconnects.

Found the PM. Had no idea it contained notification of a penalty stroke. I normally don't read the ones that say "score recorded" especially when I have no other indication that a penalty was sustained. The PM says the penalty stroke was on hole 13 where I scored a two. If I had a penalty stroke there then I must have scored a hole in one but I didn't. In addition when I was on the 18th tee my score was shown as 8 under. If a penalty had been incurred why wouldn't it show seven under. So there I am believing I am on minus 8 and I score a par, why would I have a reason to believe I finished with less than minus 8.

If there are any penalty strokes they are added at the end of the round to your score.

If you look at your scorecard the scores shown for each hole are what you actually hit and applies to all PGLS tournies ...

So in the case of Hole 13 you actually did hit 2 shots but PG detected a deliberate disconnect.

How are you defining a deliberate disconnect ?

PG define a penalty stroke as a shot were the player either disconnects when the ball is in mid~air or before clicking ‘CONTINUE” on the post shot screen.
