Any thought

in maybe making these rounds 18 hole rounds rather than just 9 holes.
the whole idea when this came together was to give up more pairs play
with the format being changed to a 9 hole round a week just don't seem like we added much new fun at all

just thinking out loud

The time limit went from 3 days to 5 days because 3 days was too short and 40% of the members didn't play. Not opposed to 18 holes a week and 4 rounds a month if that's what everyone wants.

4 rounds would change the Pairs Cup to the top 16 only, instead of the top 32. Four rounds with 7 days (6 to play and 1 off) is very similar to the other Pair Up 9 event, though.

changing from 9 holes to 18 will have less people play, look at pga 9 and 18, always more play the 9 hole version. Don't see that changing because it's pairs.

you got to give it a chance, it is r1 and it is Summer!! people are outside more, numbers always dip in August time.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

so basicaly it takes my partner and myself half an hour to play a 9 hole round
which at a 5 day streach , lets just make it easy and call it a week cause that is pretty much what it is.
pretty weak to call this more play for teams as far as I can see it, maybe I should just go back to playing some of the other tourneys and drop this one
cause this is pretty sad to call this more teams play, a hole half an hour a week.

The overall direction of the Divisions Pairs is 100% Alan's now (and I support his direction).

I agree with some of what you're saying about having more pairs rounds to play, but it's Alans call. He does all the work to set the pins and conditions. The Cups are just a secondary competition that require very little work from me.
