Perhaps 3D courses are nice for simulated play in the cellar for real club swingers.
I am happy to play the older courses in any tournament.

You blew your entire "just my opinion" schitck when you made it personal and called out the setter. Alan does a great job and deserves better than your whines. Do you even think before you post?Flop7Wood wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 7:43 pm And while I'm whining...geez...not really, just calling a spade a spade. Riddler, what is the obsession with hard/hard 14 every freakin' week? And then put the wind against me on par 5s and a hill right at normal driving range on others. SMH Do any of you even think?
I don't have the luxury of going back and looking at what you did, but those stats are just inaccurate.Riddler wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 8:49 pm Let's see I do Survivor Tour, hard hard 14 on any of the four 9 holes I did? NOPE! Divisions, was that hard hard 14? THINK NOT! PGLS Tour was American Tour not Hard Hard 13? YES IT WAS, NOT 14, in fact looking back at last 32 rounds only used stimp 14 once and it was with hard hard 14, GOT ME! Finally Divisions Pairs again NOPE! In fact, looking back at last 100 rounds I do for all four tours used stimp 14 three times.
Where was your hand when Mark was asking for help?
I have probably played Rivendell in Links more than 300 times. I have played it under par (not much..I think -4) playing no grid..firm/fast/ challening. I know what a fantasy course is. Devil's Island also comes to mind. Rivendell is a very fair and playable course in any conditions. So is Devil's Island. But I certainly wouldn't use either of them for a tournament played by a mixture of different skill levels.Greensboronclion wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 12:16 am A fantasy course is just what it says it is and they are not meant to be easy. It's also what makes them interesting and all these courses this week were all challenging but very fun and if you think they were tough you should have played Rivendel in Links 2003 which might be the hardest fantasy course ever made. Love the older courses both real and fantasy and maybe we should have an event using just fantasy courses each week and I bet that event at nine holes a round would be highly played.
