yea i seen what course was set up and i decided to just skip it
i consider it to be nothing but a junk course, and Riddler there will never be an update
if you would have read through the posts about it on the PP forums you would have seen where the designer
said he was happy with it and considers it done. im going to see if anything has been put in the course notes about not using it
if not i will add it.
I ADDED NOTES SAYING THIS COURSE SHOULD NEVER BE USED FOR TOURNEY PLAY.
and i also put it back to beta status just to make sure it would not get used.

I'm yet another who hasn't finished his round at this train wreck of a course...

I think the fairest decision for all would be to simply cancel Week 5 as it never happened, and let Week 4 be the last week of this month's Divisions.

That sounds like a good idea Bix, just cancel week 5 so you don,t miss out getting promoted.

But first.........

I saw 1 eagle and a few birdies recorded on 18. If this is you, jump in here and tell us your strategy. :good:

I bogied #18 but not because of course. Like many courses it matters where you hit. Stay on the fw's and you have a much better chance. Sometimes that means leaving the driver in the bag. I didn't have any issues with the course but not saying others didn't and course should not be used.

Too many places with invisible trees (colliders that are 2x larger than the tree itself) to knock you into places that are not OB (no drop or pickup option) that has water and steel weeds in front and oversized colliders left and right.

Use the BLI to try and find an opening and there is not one. If there was no water in front, you could putt your way out (no colliders on the ground). There were too many of these non-playable, non-relief areas on the course.

My suggestion would be to keep all the scores, but limit the max. score on any hole to a Double Bogie. This limits the damage from these "blow up" holes. Since I'm suggesting this, I volunteer to go thru all the scores to give you a list of corrections.

example: my score was an 11. The only "blow up" hole, higher than DBo, was the 10 on 18. That would be corrected to a 7 (par 5), for a final score of 14.

Why alter any scores?

I never hit any invisible trees. I had two bogies but they were my fault and had nothing to do with the course.

We are all playing the same course so leave the scores as they are.

Altering the scores would not be an option. Some did well and some got stuck with a bad lie that cost them extra strokes like Crusher on #18 had a 12. Time to move on and think about Septembers Division Tournament. Planning the courses as we speak and will make sure fair to all.

I wasn't even considering whether I or anyone else got promoted or demoted. I just think that the myriad problems with the course made the week's play unfair for anyone, especially considering the iron trees and other things that have been reported by others. I didn't experience those, btw... or anything else similar. Instead, the course crashed the game a couple holes into my round after some extremely bad refresh-rate episodes. (and don't even think of blaming my computer... It is very fast, has 16 gig of memory, a rather high-end graphics card, and is always kept updated, etc. Not wanting to risk any permanent damage to the game, I got rid of the course immediately after the problems.)

So far as I'm concerned, I'd rather stay in D5 anyway. At least I have a chance in that division.

I birdied 18. I was already -5 and I decided that hitting a fairway wood to that narrow peninsula green from 250 yards was a high risk/low reward shot that would likely produce only a birdie anyway. So I played to the fairway to the right and hit the shot pin high, then pitched 57 yds for a reasonable length putt, which I made. Putting is my strength, so I played to my strength.
