I agree completely. I think Alan has picked pins and conditions that have been challenging but fair in 95 % of the courses that were given to him.
For the 2021 season I hope to select courses that will help close the last 5%.

If we get the European schedule in a timely manner, I'll pick my choices for courses to fill out the schedule. Feedback from our community can help make the final course choices better.

Keep in mind, Alan will then need time to select pins and conditions. Next season starts Jan 1.

Just an update as to where I'm at in the scheduling process for the 2021 Continental and American Tours.

American Tour dates and course selections are ~90% done. Just waiting on the September to November 2021 dates to come out.

Continental Tour is ~ 33% done. Most of this is the crossover tournaments (4 Majors, 3 WGC, a Ryder Cup event, and the Olympics). Some of the Australian and UK dates are also being advertised on the tournament's official sites. The rest of the schedule has been fleshed out based on past practices by the European Tour.

A question about the 2021 OPEN: it's scheduled for Royal St. George's. Do we go back there to sync the TV coverage with what we play, or go to the next site in the rotation (St. Andrews)? This would mean we would always be out of sync with TV.

The Ryder Cup slot: a September 2021 date at Whistling Straits. I like that it's at a quality real course we have. I want to keep the event (renamed) and make it a crossover event.

The Olympics slot: A good end point to the Summer Leg, renamed to World Games and made as a crossover event. We don't have the real course; I like going to the Rio Olympic venue because it has all the proper signage. Thoughts?

Breaking the schedule into 3 legs, SPRING, SUMMER, and FALL. Stats and points for each leg would be for only events in that leg with a winner at the end of the leg. A full Season winner (sum of events of all three legs) would be the ultimate champion for the season. Each leg would cover ~15 events, or 2.5 to 3 months.
***The Spring Leg would end with the Masters in early April, and include 3 crossover events and 14 total events.
***The Summer Leg would end with the Olympic (renamed WORLD GAMES) in late July, and include 4 crossover events and 16 total events. In future schedules, this end point would be the WGC - St. Judes or possibly the Open event.
***The Fall Leg would end in mid-November, and includes 2 crossover events plus the FEDEX Cup playoffs and the Race-to-Dubai final, and 16 total events.

I think the Fall Leg needs a crossover event to finish the season (47th event). In years past, the ISPS Handa World Cup Team event has been played in late November. It appeared on the FEDEX schedule in 2007 and was hosted in China; the last three events were hosted in Australia. We have some real quality Australian courses that could be used in a rotation for this. The event invites twenty-eight countries of 2-man teams to compete in a total strokes competition, with 2 rounds of best ball, and two rounds of alt shot. This could be set up as a multiplayer, solo or both type event. I'll work out the details and post late.

Opinions on the above 5 issues/setups would be welcome.

Like the concept of breaking the schedule into 3 legs, I think it would make the tournament even more interesting. Just my thoughts.

Mostly need opinions on where to go with the Open venue - Royal St. George's (again) as will be seen on TV this coming July, or the next in the rotation is St. Andrew's.

It'll have been a full year since the last st George's and it will be on TV (hopefully) we can always play st Andrews another week on the tour
