About the conditions for this week's Masters...

I was reading an Adam Scott article on ESPN about the 2007 Masters, and how firm the green were. The gist was that the upcoming Masters would be just as severe. In a practice round in 2007, on the 16th hole, he poured a bottle of water out at the top of the green and watched as the drops roll down the green. The greens were so firm and fast that the water didn't get absorbed and rolled off the green. Seems like this would be hard greens and 14 stimp. This would be brutal if set this way.

I know a little something about soil physics and ballistics ( how rain, humidity, and wind affect ground conditions in the days before the first round). I don't think the conditions are going to be as severe as they think. So I set conditions based on what my intuition tells me. Scores will tell the story.

I just changed this weeks American Tour course. Instead of PG's Innisbrook - Copperhead (with 3 pins/green) we are going to use member made Copperhead CC (with 8 pins/green).
