I am sure this has been discussed before but asking again, are the winds blowing in the same direction for every player, playing the same rounds? I ask because there are many times the winds are so strong against you making par is the goal. This is especially true on long par 4's and 5's. Now I just finished round 4 Riviera and hole 17 was a long par 5. I see Tony had a birdie. I had winds against me all 5 shots and they were in the 30+ mph range. How does someone birdie a 600 yard par 5? Tony how did you birdie the hole?

Re: Wind Conditions
They should be yes, otherwise it would make a mockery of all our tournies if players had different wind settings.I am sure this has been discussed before but asking again, are the winds blowing in the same direction for every player, playing the same rounds?

Re: Wind Conditions
ssshhh Mark, I manage to get tail winds of exactly the strength I need for every shot...

The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Re: Wind Conditions
Ha, Stozza you azz lol. As my playing partner, you see that crap every week :-) . I just saw this post today and Alan's question... Alan, I remember that hole --- I hit driver, driver, driver and still was 50 or so yards short of the green. Then a simple pitch in~!

Re: Wind Conditions
Dmanz, nowhere did I say I hit them all straight~! I just advanced it. Sometimes I think a low loft 3 wd goes further than slightly miss hit driver off the deck, but the hope for that perfect snap with the driver is a cruel mistress....
