Easier conditions for Continental Tour 2 weeks in a row

Post by whattashot »

American Tour

Rd 1 - Normal/HARD 13 Stimp - 10mph winds
Rd 2 - Soft/Normal 12 Stimp - 13mph winds
Rd 3 - Normal/Normal 13 Stimp -16mph winds
Rd 4 - Normal/Soft 11 Stimp - 18mph winds (strong breeze)

Continental Tour

Rd1 - Normal/Soft 10 Stimp - 8 mph winds
Rd2 - Soft/Normal 11 Stimp - 10mph winds
Rd3 - Normal/Normal 12 Stimp - 16mph winds
Rd4 - HARD/Soft 11 Stimp - 13mph winds

I'm not going to win playing either of these, but, am I the only one who thinks this is grossly unfair? Especially since everyone is playing for the same season earnings table?

Plus, its 2weeks in a row, maybe more, I didn't check.

A decided advantage in the conditions for the Continental Tour, do you agree?

The conditions are set by the weather forecast in the area of the course. No two countries have the same weather conditions so its obvious that it will vary. Also the terrain will be different, One course might be a mountain course so Altitude will play a big difference and the other course might be a links course at sea level and here wind will come into play.. That is the same whether it be a PC game or the real tours that the we bace our game on.

As was mentioned before when you brought this up. Whether one Tour has easier or harder conditions does not matter in the overall points.

Players are playing the same conditions in each event playing for the same points, whether it is perceived as easier or harder does not matter.

There is no advantage!

There is 100 pts for the Continental winner and so on and 100 pts for the American tour and so on. What would be unfair is if 1 tour had more points on offer.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

John is using the weather of the PGA Tournament location and not the weather where the coarse ifs located. In this case Kemper in Illinois and PGA Tournament in Texas. Big difference.

The one feature of the CreateACourse APP that I wish we had would to be able to set individual tees, as we do with pins. I could set the wind direction for the course layout, then fine tune the longer holes that are playing against the wind. Mark?

Sorry John, different tees for each hole isn't possible.

Our course is not in Texas. Its in Illinois. (Kemper Lakes) You couldn't find a course in Texas for this week? Its not raining in Texas, but it sure is on my screen.
