Seminole Lakes Golf Club - FINAL
I have uploaded seminolelakesgcfinal.zip at Mega.
I did not receive many comments on the BETA version. Thanks, Jude, for noticing the water problem on Hole 13. I made an adjustment and this now appears to be fixed. The course has 6 tee settings (Championship, Tournament, Back, Forward, Ladies and Challenge); and 6 pin settings per hole (2 easy, 2 medium and 2 difficult). It is pretty similar to the BETA version. I added a little more slope to some of the greens on the back 9, but I tried to make sure each hole location is in an area with little break for the shorter putts.
This course is pretty barebones, since it is my first effort at designing with the JNPG course designer. It is a relatively small file which loads quickly for me and plays without any stuttering or lag. All the drop areas around the lakes worked as expected during my testing. So I hope you have the same experience.

Mark, it may not matter, but this course is a fictional course if you want to correct this in the description. The geographic coordinates are real, but the course is fictional. There are a couple of real courses with similar (but different) names. They are geographically located in a different place and bear no resemblance to this course.

There is a problem with the overhead view (Map) on Hole 14. The faiway left on the first part of the dog leg can not be seen on the overhead map. there is no way to take a short cut due to trees blocking your way, so if you can only navigate the hole using the overhead map you have a problem.

Re: Seminole Lakes Golf Club - FINAL
You are right about the overhead. I was unable to correct it. On sharp doglegs, the design program does not do well in creating either the hole overhead or the flyover. The game automatically produces the overheads. I don't know how to make any adjustments to it. If anyone knows how to correct the overhead, I would welcome their suggestions.
The flyover on 14 provides a decent look at the entire hole layout although it took several efforts to produce a flyover for 14 and the angle of view remains a bit odd; fortunately the shot point for the drive on 14 is located where you want to aim if you are playing safe. On all the par 4 and par 5 holes the tee shot should line up accurately to the shot point which is located at the preferred landing spot. You will have to make a club decision on some of the par 4s because a full driver will take you through the fairway on a couple of holes. And, of course, adjust for wind.
I have taken the shortcut successfully many times during practice. It's a risk/reward shot.
Thanks for your comment.

Re: Seminole Lakes Golf Club - FINAL
Just finished playing the CTP on Seminole Lakes Golf Club and Paul and I found an issue with the left hand bunker around the green on Hole 16. It is floating above the rough area. Shame I found this after the course went Final

Re: Seminole Lakes Golf Club - FINAL
Thanks, Mark, for catching and reporting this. I had this problem on another hole or two. I thought I had caught all the occurrences, but apparently not. I might be able to fix it by completely rebuilding that bunker. It was not an easy fix on the other holes where it arose, at least for me; maybe another designer knows a quick fix. But I will be happy to try to fix it and release another final if you don't think releasing another final version will be too confusing. Let me know.

Re: Seminole Lakes Golf Club - FINAL
Okay, I was able to fix this problem easier than I anticipated. When I originally created Hole 16, the green and bunker were completely surrounded by a semi-rough texture. Before I released the course, I removed the semi-rough around the green and bunker because there were some tight spots where the semi-rough splines and the splines for other textures were overlapping or touching and creating some conflict. I am guessing that the semi-rough texture must have a height map setting that places it higher than the bunker texture, and this height difference when the bunker is surrounded by the semi-rough may be what produces the natural lip on the bunker that you expect to find. By removing the semi-rough texture, the bunker lip appears inverted. So I simply inserted the semi-rough texture around the green and bunker again. This seems to have solved the problem.
This is one of the frustrations of the design program. Some problems are not obvious in the views provided by the design program, and become apparent only when viewed in the game....and then only if the camera is in the right place to detect them. This is why playtesting by others can be so valuable in finding glitches like this one.
So thanks for finding this one. I am going to check all the bunkers on the course again to hopefully confirm that this is an isolated problem. After doing so and satisfying myself the other bunkers are in proper condition, I will upload the revised final version.
