Post by ILCivEng »

I see Links e6 was released on Steam today. It's by trugolf and is the latest in the Links franchise. Any one here try it out?

Just test it with a first Round. To make a good Drive is absolut hard. Lot of Options with different Clubs. Very near to real Golf but the Grafics is fix - means there are no Options to optimize to your Card and System. Need E6 Acound too. First Impression. Needs to try longer to get real meaning.
i'm no certified 3 Clicker but a real Sportmen  :joy:

I just played 18 holes in Advanced mode. It has no player on the screen (OK with me), it has a 3Click meter (very OK with me). There are many settings for your shots. I feel I gave it a good shake but it's still not PG, not even close. I think it may be very appealing to mobile device virtual golf players. I uninstalled it after I finished the 18 holes and read some of the info.

Worth a try to see what your experience feels like.

WOW. I tried the practice shooting in this game and its almost impossible to hit the bottom snap. The meter going up was about the same speed as Perfect Golf but going down was super fast. And I mean SUPER fast. Most hits I didn't know how close it was to a snap but the way the ball was offline I knew it wasn't close. Anyone else try the game and have this problem?
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

yep, took about 100 swings and didn't even hit one close. Absolutely unplayable for me at this stage. I'm affraid the devs there don't even think about to change the swing meter. Until today I didn't see any comment. So a no go for me. Good thing it didn't cost a dime :)

Perfect Golf is the best, there is no denying that fact. Just hope someone gets their hands on the source code and creates PG2 and gives the world an updated version much like the PG1.

I must preface this by saying I do not play 3 click in PG...that said, for a free game (unless you want more courses), I found it "adequate". Difficult meter due to speed, but I was able to hit fairway drives before my initial round was over. I think it needs some refinement for sure, and I hope the devs make some needed improvements. I won't be paying money (buying course packs) until they do.
