Re: Changing your swing meter colours for visability

JB, I have asked that very question over on the PP forums, and apparently there is no way to change the color configuration of the wheel itself. Bummer.

Changing your Ball Tracer color

Post by RandyG »

add to a new autoexec.cfg* file

--game_tracer_color=252,163,68,199

The color here is a light orange but you can use any RGB color.

My autoexec file is:
--game_windColor=252,237,35 Light Yellow
--game_upColor=255,187,0,200 Dull Yellow
--game_downColor=0,102,0,200 Dull Green
--game_tracer_color=252,163,68,199 Light Orange

The autoexec.cfg file goes in the \Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Config folder assuming you didn't change the default installation location.

https://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.html will give you a comprehensive way of looking at a particular RGB code to use for colours.

RickW has shown us a much more simple method for making changes to your set-up, without the need to create and edit autoexec.cfg

Open your Steam Library via the icon in the notification tray (the area where time and date display in the corner of your Windows desktop)
Right click on Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf in the list of games in your Library and choose Properties
Click the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS... button
Paste in the parameter you wish it to run with from start-up of game. If using more than one parameter, put a space between each one.
The following are useful commands, changing the numbers changes the effect:

CAMERA SETTINGS
--cam_sensX=.5
--cam_sensY=0.2
--cam_forwardSpeed=2
--cam_sideSpeed=1
--cam_upSpeed=.1

IN-GAME COLOUR SETTINGS (Example; Pick your own colours from the reference webpage shown above)
--game_upColor=139,0,0,199
--game_downColor=65,105,255
--game_tracer_color=255,0,0
--game_windColor=0,191,255

TO CREATE A CUSTOMIZABLE COMET TRAIL (set your tracer to full for it to take effect whilst also adding this)
--cam_tracerFadeTime=0.5

If you set these up in the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS... then you can then remove your autoexec.cfg file from the Config folder, as it is duplicated and unnecessary.

I wish I could change the grid colour. Many times I can't see it when the green almost the same colour.
