Hello Admins.
Played round 1 and on the 18th hole landed in the purple bush/tree next to the green.
Could not hit out forward or to the sides. Going backwards didn't leave enough room as it is OB.
I quit on my 11th shot. Rather than quit and restart on the T and receive the restart penalty, I will leave it to you to assess the proper penalty.
Thanks

Re: Calling myself out
Charlie, the correct penalty would be a one-stroke penalty, and as your drop was also unplayable, you would return to the tee.
I am not sure, having had numerous attempts to play out, that a quit will place you back on the tee. We would in that case have to assess that you would have scored. I would say a two-stroke penalty would suffice, as there is no telling if you could have made par from a playable spot, and so we would take the score plus penalty from a 'provisional' shot hit from the tee again.
I will look at your card when you complete and make necessary adjustments. If you cannot complete, the only fair recourse I have is to delete your round and allow you to start over. A one-stroke penalty would be applied to that round.

I resumed and was placed next to the bush again. I was able to get backwards just short of the OB.
I will accept my final score....No need for any adjustments.
Thanks Again

Charlie,
In those cases, the gloved hand dropping the ball icon on the right hand side should allow you to place the ball in a legal drop area, which would be in line with the entry into the hazard or unplayable location but no closer to the pin. In this case, your likely drop zone would be on the other side of the green.
Worth bearing in mind, as once the attempts to play out start to decend into the realms of madness, we get the Baker's Dozen you ended up with. ;)
